You know you love Animated Movies when...

Plenty of ways you can hurt a man and bring him to the ground. You can trip him, you can push him, you-Oh! Didn't see you there! *hides stuff*

Well, hello thar! Meinos Kaen here! How are your holidays going? Hope they're going as well as mine if not better.

It's said that Xmas is the season of giving but I can confidently say that for me, it's the season of teaching because I'm being taught. What exactly have I been learning?

Meinos' X-Mas Day and Revan's Life Day

Hello, thar. Meinos Kaen here!

Well, it's been an eventful Christmas, or Life Day if you're a Star Wars aficionado. First, I was surprised to see, at my wake, just how much the visit counter had jumped up. I've gone from around 40 visits a day to a record of 219 in little more than a month, and it's still rising! Damn, seems like I made a lot of people wait a lot of time for No Limits. On one hand I'm sorry for making you wait but on the other I was really happy to see so many people follow me so, again, thank you. I hope the first chapter was worth the wait

Thank you! Thank you so much!

It's been an eventful family and general self-enjoyment day. Of course, there's been food. I don't know how much one usually eats at Christmas' Eve and on Christmas itself in

Hohoho Limits! Merry X-Mas, everyone!

Well, it's been a while, it's been a long time coming, but it's finally here. And I hope you enjoy it, my friends. With the vocal complicity of the new song for this week, Mister Bublè's Cold December Night, I announce that the first chapter of No Limits is finally yours for the reading.

Before I let you get into it, there are a few recommendations and notes that you should read beforehand. I really suggest you do, so that you don't end up asking me questions that are easily answered here. :P

You think Drama is hard to write? Try Riding Duels

Hello, thar. Meinos Kaen here!

So, I was thinking about what to share for my next post. Maybe something about the last movie I've seen? (Midnight in Paris, by Woodie Allen and with Owen Wilson. AWESOME.) Nah. Maybe something else about my Star Wars: The Old Republic experience? Maybe later on this week.
Or maybe something about writing, for a change. Yeah, that might do. So, let's talk about writing.

Of course, my writing tool is more advanced than this...

Widgets, flashing and fan-arts

Hello, thar! Meinos Kaen here!

I've just finished a morning-long run of the mill to try and add some diversity and functionality to this blog. The biggest problem was that I couldn't see the Comments Box. Why, internet? Why? Not allowing people who read to say what they think? You don't need to protect me so. And thus I started my crusade to try and rectify this.

It's not been easy. The first thing I did was try and check every setting I could on Blogger. No luck. After that, of course it was Google and Blogger's help forums. Seems like it's a common problem nowadays but I could find no solutions.

KONG MEINOS NOT HAPPY WITH THIS!

Until I thought of something.

Thoughts of a Trask Ulgo Cyborg Smuggler

Hello, thar. Meinos Kaen here!

Today's a good day. Why, you ask? Because, having pre-ordered the thing back in July, I was one of the first people to receive early access to the long awaited Star Wars: The Old Republic. So, I thought I would share some of my first impressions with you all.

I still think he and the Exile eloped at the end...
When I first heard of this game being developed I thought 'Sounds cool.' Though, I was quite uneasy at approaching another MMORPG after the experience with WoW. That thing sucked the life out of me when I was 16 and here was another MMORPG, maybe larger than WoW and with a background that pulled the string of my hearts: the Star Wars Universe and the Knights Of The Old Republic games. Loved the first, had great expectations for the second one. It didn't come out as good as the first one but it was still a good game. Still, I've heard of Galaxies and this is Bioware, a company that does one hit one miss at a time (KOTOR, KOTOR II, Dragon Age Origins, Dragon Age II) and I've grown up since I was 16 so I said 'what the hell, let's at least check it out'.

Did you know I also flashed? And New Thunder 3

Hey, thar. Meinos Kaen here!

As promised, we're gonna have New Thunder's third chapter in this post... Along with a bit of an extra, called 'did you know I also flashed'? Or better, I had a flash series.

Yeah. Back in the day when it still updated, I was pretty much all 'AWESOME' on Super Mario Bros Z, and that led-What's Super Mario Bros Z, you say?

Why, shame on you. It's probably only the best sprite-based flash series ever created and published on the net, by author Alvin Earthworm. It's very loosely based on the Android Saga from Dragon Ball Z and it uses Mario and Sonic sprites. The animation in this thing is probably the best I've ever seen. Just watch the fight scenes. Here's the link to Alvin's Newground Profile and the Youtube Version of the OP of the series. The song is from the Megaman.Exe Anime. The second opening, if I remember correctly.

London Vacation Report and a Special Announcement

Hello, there. Meinos Kaen back from London, ultra-recharged in body, soul and creative juices.

Nothing to see, here... Just Big Old Ben.
It was one hell of a vacation. At first I was a bit unsure about how fun it could be since I went alone but I was wrong. Oh, was I wrong.

First thing, it's easy to make friends if you just have the courage to get out of your shell. I started on the plane and finished on the last day of the London Gamingcon. So I want to give my thanks for making the vacation awesome to: the Italian girl I met on the place from Milan to London with which I spent most of the first day, the couple I was sitting near to while seeing 'We Will Rock You' at the Dominion Theater, the vintage Freddy Mercury fangirls all wearing pink t-shirts and fake mustaches (no joking, here), Gary, Tom, Charles, Charlotte, Chris and all the other guys I met at the Gamingcon.
