Hello, thar. Meinos Kaen here!
Here's the next part of Corridor of Uncertainity! Boy, had I fun writing this! Especially for what I'll put in your mind right now! This will be the first and last time I will give you a hint, so pay good attention.
Among the two choices in the new Pool, hides a Bad Ending! Mwahahahah! Will you be able to dodge it?! Enjoy! Meinos Kaen out!
Disclaimer: Naruto and all its characters, places and situations are property of Masashi Kishimoto-Sensei. Everything else is an original creation of mine.
'I'm gonna try and lose them in the crowd!' Thinking that, he made a sharp turn and dove for the innermost part of town. If Wave's economy had made that big of a jump, its market-place was surely be bustling with activity and a lot of people among which to hide and disguise himself. "... The hell?!" Unless, of course, it was the market's closing day. Which left him with a wide, empty plaza. "ARGH!" 'They're closing in!'
If they were anything like his ones, they would progressively grow bolder and bolder till the boiling point was reached. And then... "... The glomp." He whispered, not really thinking that getting glomped by buxom girls of his own age could be more enjoyable compared to being 'attacked' by developing twelve years old. 'Where to, now?!'
He picked a direction at random and dove for the corresponding street. He didn't stop nor look around. That was why, when he took a turn- "Ooff!"
"Aah!" He barreled right into someone, knocking both of them to the ground.
"I-I'm sorry, I wasn't-Tsunami-nee-san?"
"Pay more attention, will-Naruto?" The woman got back on her feet before the blonde, who took his time to look around. "I've been looking all over for you! I have-Oh." She noticed his panicked state. "Too late, then?"
"And I can't lose them because there's no market, today!" He said, shivering. The road was empty except for the two of them but he could feel a number of presences. He whined miserably. "Nee-san, help me!"
"Well, there's... Huh." An idea crept through her mind. She fought back the flush threatening to come up and say hi on her face. 'What the hell am I thinking? There's no way...' She thought about it further. Yeah, he wouldn't go with it. '... Then, I'll surprise him.' Looking at it as something playful made her more confident. She smiled. "Naruto, are they looking?"
"Y-Yes, of course they are! That's the whole-" Slender hands grabbed the sides of his face. "Problem?" The half-lidded eyes he was staring at were very nice.
She hadn't done this in a long time, but she hadn't lost her touch. Maybe he was pretty inexperienced, but that could only explain the lack of response as she locked lips. The way his whole body went stiff, his eyes wide and he stood on his tip-toes as she fisted his hair and started using tongue, deepening the kiss, could not be explained by that. Nor could it explain the way he went limp against her as she finished it, a trail of saliva briefly connecting her tongue to his lower lip. As she hugged him to herself to keep him from falling to the ground, she grinned. 'Yup. Still got it.'
She waited a few seconds, gently caressing the back of Naruto's head before whispering in his right ear. "Naruto?"
"Hmmmeah?" He was still in trance. She chuckled.
"Are they gone, now?" The mention of his stalkers made him sober up. He blinked, straightened himself and observed his surroundings.
"... Yeah." He let out, surprised. "Why did-" He flushed. "I mean, you... Uhm... That..."
"Either they think you're already taken or that you prefer older women. Maybe both." She latched on his right arm and started pulling him along. For some reason, she was in a very good mood. "Let's go back."
"... Ok." The shinobi let himself be led, still a bit shellshocked by the brief but pretty heated make-out session. Well, more like kiss he got from Tsunami since he hadn't been cooperative and makeout implies collaboration and-'I'll just stop thinking, now.'

“Hmm, sure, ruin my fun.”
“There was NOTHING fun about what transpired this morning, you damn drunkard!” Naruto shouted at point blank range at the old bridge builder, who seemed unfazed by his loudness and anger. He just shrugged his shoulders.
“Meh. Serves you right for really believing something as ludicrous as that brat being really alive when you personally buried his body.” That made Naruto pause, and wince. This didn't escape Tazuna's eyes, nor Tsunami's, sitting at the table as well. “... Or did you want to believe it true?”
“... Maybe so. I guess when you put it like that, it really does sound stupid.” 'Probably some guilt and sadness at his death that never went away.' Sitting in another chair, Naruto slumped in it, looking at the ceiling. “Man, so weird... That only leaves as an explanation someone who looks identical to Haku and that, for some reason, also leaves flowers on his tomb. Also, how did she get to know where he's buried?”
“She, Naruto?” Tsunami said with a chuckle, remembering the error of judgment regarding Haku's sex Naruto had told them about. He rolled his eyes.
“Yes, believe me. I got the iced clothes to prove it.” Tazuna snorted and Tsunami laughed. “Seriously, never thought I'd get in that kind of situation with two girls on the same day...”
“Hmm? Two?” Both Tsunami and Naruto froze as they realized just what the blonde had let transpire. The shinobi cursed his mouth. “So, one of those girls actually managed to get to you? You must be getting sloppy.” Then they both sighed in relief. Shrugging, Tazuna got up from his table and headed for the back garden. “I'm going to take a nap.”
After a couple minutes, when it was sure that Tazuna was indeed in the back garden, the two moved again. “Naruto, that was dangerous... I think dad would have an heart attack if he knew about that.”
“S-Sorry.” Naruto lowered his head, in shame. “Also, sorry I forced you to do something like that for me.”
“Forced?” Tsunami blinked, confused. Then she understood. She shook her head, smiling. “Naruto, believe me, I could have thought of something else to help you.”
“... You could have?” He blinked. “Then, why didn't you?”
“... Because I liked the idea.” That simple admission caused Naruto to go scarlet. Tsunami smirked, then put on a mock-pout and touched her right cheek with the corresponding index finger. “Or am I not pretty enough? Maybe you don't like older women?”
“N-No! You're really pretty! It's just... Huh...” The Uzumaki actually started fidgeting, unsure of what to say or where to look, which only served to amuse Tsunami more.
“Okay. Enough of that. I've got to think about lunch.” She got up, and to a more attentive eye, the volute swing of her hips as she walked would have been apparent. Naruto was too focused on what was swung around more than if it was on purpose or not. Tsunami stopped at the door and turned to him. “Teriyaki sounds good?”
“... Perfect.” Naruto answered. '… Was I actually talking about Teriyaki?'
-I-
"What a day..." In the end, he was finally able to take a bath in the large tub of Tazuna's house. "In the end, I didn’t even find Ha-That girl." After lunch he had resumed his search for the mysterious doppelganger, this time using Kage Bunshin and Henge, but his search around town had proved as fruitless as that of the moring. Although the ending was kind of nice. Blushing at the memory, Naruto brought a hand to his lips. He could feel the warmth, the wetness... The taste of lemons. 'How strange. Nee-san doesn't wear lipgloss.'
Although he had tried not to think about it, he couldn’t help but stare at the woman's lips, and sometimes other parts, all day long. A couple times he had been caught staring. Fortunately, Tsunami just smiled as a reaction, like she enjoyed the attention. "... Man, Sakura-chan would kick my ass if she knew what I was thinking right now." 'I really, really liked it even if she only did it to help me. And I'd really, really like if it happened again.' And a small part of his mind told him that the hypothesis wasn't that farfetched, since she had admitted that she did it because she liked the idea. Ergo, she liked the idea of kissing him. Ergo...
With a sigh, Naruto left the comfort of the bathtub. He had a meadow to visit, that night. 'It's the only lead I got left.' As he did, his messenger buzzed among his discarded clothes. The new message informed him that he had collected an 'Out of Season Hazel'.
-I-
"Ok. This time-Huh." As he was about to leave the house to head for the meadow, he found someone sitting on the porch. Initially he thought it was Tazuna as he laid eyes on the saucer and bottle laying nearby, but the old man didn't have black hair nor that kind of figure. A figure he had become strangely familiar with after being drawn to observe it the whole day. "Tsunami-nee-san?"
"Naruto." She called his name, without turning around. As he walked to her side, he blushed. Tsunami's nightrobe was kind of loose, leaving uncovered a shapely leg up to mid-tight and a good amount of cleavage. She was smiling, her cheeks flushed. She had been drinking, it seemed. She chuckled, noticing his staring. He had been doing that a lot, that day. She patted the spot by her side. He swallowed.
"So, huh... Couldn't sleep?" He sat down nonetheless.
"Nope. I've been in a good mood all day long. I kept on smiling and couldn't fall asleep." She confessed, turning in his direction. "All because of you."
"Ehm... I'm sorry?" She chuckled and leaned her head on his right shoulder. There it was, the scent of lemons.
"Don't be. I said I've been smiling, didn’t I?" She sighed blissfully, which made her chest rise and drop slowly. Not that he was staring. No sir. “You see, Naruto, women like it when the people who they want to pay attention to them actually do pay attention to them.”
“Really? Could have sworn otherwise...” He joked, remembering just how Sakura had always rewarded his attention. Tsunami just sighed again, and then kept her silence. Naruto didn't say anything either, holding still, letting her keep on using her as a headrest.
"Hey, Naruto." She suddenly let out, in a low voice.
"Y-Yeah?" He stuttered out.
"Was that your first kiss?" Was there any more blood that could go to his face? She smirked. "I knew it." She threw her hands around his body, leaning onto him as she laid her head in the crook of his neck. "Did you like it?"
"N-N-Nee-san, how much did you drink?" He said, his face aflame.
"Just a couple saucers. I'm not drunk, Naruto." She smiled, humming against his neck. "I'm just... Free of certain reservations, right now." Her left hand suddenly trailed up, making circles on his chest. His breath became faster.
"I-If you say so..." He shivered at the sensation and then gasped. Her other hand had just leaned on his right tight. The spot felt almost unbearably hot, and his blood although still rushing to his face, was now also heading in the opposite direction.
"Naruto... If you want to... We can do it again..." Her voice was now dangerously low and sultry, those lips he had lusted for all day breathing hot air against his ear. "We can do... More."
1. Graciously accept the offer2. Leave for the meadow

You are an evil, evil person Meinos. To do it or not, with the possibility of a bad end hovering over our heads.
ReplyDeleteIt's so not cool.
The choice is...so hard.
Yep. I'm an evil troll. :D
DeleteWell dammit all! I'm pleasantly surprised!
ReplyDeleteFirst off: Go Tsunami! You're one hot momma!
Its nice to see our hapless hero finally getting some romantic action, even if it was totally unexpected and catching him off guard.
While I won't expect him to be making a lot more logical thoughts in regards to women potentially liking him, I can see it at least starting to open his eyes a bit more so maybe he wont be totally clueless on the next encounter.
I also totally love how bold Tsunami is here and how straight forward she is with Naruto.
I cannot and will not deny that this is something that our hero really really needed; someone to straight up tell him her thoughts and what she wants, instead of pussy-footing around while leaving Naruto still clueless/confused.
Its been solidly established that Naruto is a total idiot when it comes to female interaction/attraction, he doesn't see the clues of interest, doesn't get the double/hidden meanings in certain statements, and most importantly all these women that have shown interest haven't been the most straight forward either. Only leading to more confusion on our hero's part.
Unfortunately I'm seeing some major issues and potential here for our bad end if our hero takes the offer.
First and foremost I'm seeing the very likely possibility of getting caught in the act, or via the aftermath. Odds are high of getting walked in on by Tazuna and/or Inari finally showing up only to see his mom in bed with his hero.
Yeah no happiness to be gotten there.
Then there's the whole issue of Tsunami living in a whole different country, so if this was to amount to more than a simple one night stand, things could end up rather difficult for Naruto and her. Or if it is just a one night stand would Naruto be able to understand and accept that?
Not to mention certain issues that may come up from the fact that Naruto is technically on a mission right now and who knows if there are some sort of rules about this sort of thing.
Oh and finally, lets not forget that Tsunade/Sakura/Shizune/ect. would probably kill him outright if they ever found out. And I KNOW they would find out one way or the other. Naruto does have that Anbu Patrol watching him, so at the very least Tsunade is gonna find out.
That said there are also dangers about him taking off and going to the meadow instead.
First and possibly likely he would run into Haku's sister(?) who may or may not just Icicle his butt on sight due to his earlier blunder. There is also the fact that he is out at night potentially alone, and who knows who or what he may run into out there. Anything to stray fangirls, to wild animals, to enemy ninja. (Unlikely but still remotely possibly)
Also we have to consider that to go to the meadow that means he has to turn down the lovely woman currently draped all over him, and who knows how bad he could mess that up, or how she'd take it. I'd think she'd be generally understanding considering she knows of his in-experience with females, but you can never know with some women.
So this is one of those damned if you do and damned if you don't sort of things. I can see the general populace voting with getting our hero some lemony action. (Haha! Pun! Yes, I totally just went there with the play on her scent and what Lemons are in fanfiction! Take that! :P )
But of the two options I think its somewhat safer to just stick with the meadow, no matter how much I want our hero to get some 'quality time' with a total MILF.
Curse you for forcing this hard decision! :P
Until next time!
~Strider714
And that's why it's a Visual Novel. :P MWAHAHAHAH!
DeleteI vote for #1 of course keep it up.
ReplyDeleteDuly noted, my friend. But on the contraire, YOU keep it up. It's your story just as much as mine. :)
DeleteWell then, to set the tone of this rant/review, I'll be needing this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h9f3GSA9yfc
ReplyDeleteNow that that's out of the way, lets have a look at our two option. Option 1 looks like it can only end one way, with Naruto and Tsunami getting cought in the act by either Tazuna or Inari coming home early, but for all we know this was secretly the Tsunami route the entire time and everything will go off without a hitch.
Thing is though, even if this IS the Tsunami route, or at least the start to it, normally a drunken girl asking you for sex is full of landmines, if you accept it could ruin your relationship, whilst if you refuse, you could later find out tat the only reason why she was so drunk is that she just needed it for thr courage to go along with her plans, and by refusing her you've convinced her that their's no point in trying to go for you.
On the other hand, Option 2 seems like the best option, as it not only gets us away from the trap of Tazuna/Inari interupting us, but it gets us back to Haku/Haku's Sister/whatever. Thing is though, we can't be too sure as to how it will affect Tsunami. For all we know, she could appreciate the fact that we didn't take advantage of her whilst she was drunk and they could keep their friendship, but it's just as likely that Tsunami would end up feeling hurt that Naruto doesn't find her attractive.
The thing is though, even if option 1 leads to a Bad End straight away, that doesn't mean that option 2 has to lead to a True/Good End. It is a shame though, that option 2 just says that we leave for the meadow, because for all we know, that could mean that Naruto stops Tsunami and stays long enough to talk to her and find out why she's acting the way she is, or the more likely option of him just bailing and Tsunami feeling hurt.
As such, I can only assume that both options are poisoned, and thus I will now ask Meinos, can he tell us that if we do decide to stay, will their be an option to leave early, and if we decide to leave, can we decide to talk to her first?
Also, since we will eventually reach a Bad End, how far back will we go? Will we go back to mission selection, thus implying that we set up for the bad end with multiple decisions, or will be just come back to where we made the first decision that got us the bad end?
... *head 'splodes* Ok. XD Talking seriously, if it comes to a bad end, I will immediately open a two days poll to let you decide to which point in time you want to go back.
DeleteReading all of the other comments mirrors my own and Strider I curse you for posting said conundrum so fluently before I could! But still props to Strider for voicing my opinion so eloquently but I digress here is my own original take on this choice. Option 1 I can only see heartache quite honestly. Waking up with Tsunami is awesome but Inari catching you? That is just asking for a bad ending but you also have to think how Tsunami might feel. Shes a little inebriated right now albeit not drunk but that could mean she might regret the decision later on.
ReplyDeleteOption 2 seems safer but also could be a trap. Haku's sister, again like Strider said (Dude you are like in my brain!), could ice him or he could be accosted by a waling watermelon I don't know but if horror movies have taught me anything it's this. NEVER GO OFF IN THE DARK ALONE! Ninja or no remember Jason is now some immortal cursed dude and dont get me started on Kruger.
Either way Meinos your evil. There I said it. But I will continue to devote my life to your stories. I'm a guy with stockholm syndrome and I'm okay with that.
Signing off your loyal minion

... Heh. I have minions. THEN WE SHALL RULE THE WORLD! Dibs on Canada. What piece do you want?
DeleteHAHAAAA!!! I'm in your mind! In your house! Raiding your fridge of all your Dr Pepper!!! BWAHAHAAAA!!!!
DeleteBut anywho my dear friend Mr. Blood Edge, I'm glad someone around here acknowledges me a bit more than our lovely host/writer!
(Seriously! I post a nice a full review and Meinos only laughs evily at me, but Mishie does the same thing and makes his head explode!?! Dude! So not fair! :P)
But yeah I'm glad we are of like mind here RTBE. As I said, this is a 'Damned if you do, Damned if you dont' sorta thing.
~Strider
By the way, if we're claiming land masses here, I want the US South/South-west and Mexico! No way are you keeping me from my tex mex food, margaritas and tacos! Plus if I get all the south US, I get Florida too which means Disney world!!! Woot woot!
Sounds fine to me as long as I get to ride the Twilight Hotel. :D
DeleteThing is, Naruto's internal dialogue when meeting one of the girls is a rather BIG hint at who has available routes. Notice how Tsunade, Shizune, NOR Tsunami got those dialogues that are evident in a LOT of VN. I think it's safe to assume Hinata has a route. Ino has a route. Tsunami... does not have a route. And is drunkenly asking for sex. With a boy who three years ago was 12. If her father or Inari doesn't freak afterward (if they actually make it to the.... uh... sex part), Tsunami HERSELF would likely flip proverbial tables.
ReplyDeleteIn other words, She is very likely NOT a route and drunken women asking for sex that aren't on routes, logically, will result in a end. In this case, a Bad End. And honestly, this is NARUTO we are talking about. Would he even be ABLE to accept her offer? I mean he literally FREAKED when he remembered Hinata had confessed to him. That's verbal love. This is physical. I'm surprised the second option isn't "Run for the hills!".
The chances of the second option leading to a Bad End by itself is minimal. Compared to the first option? The Second Option is a field of beautiful flowers, appropriately titled "SAFE FLOWER FIELD" and the First Option is a road leading tot he greatest treasure in the world. It is, however, called "DEATH VALLEY". Hmmmm...
Anyway, seeing how the votes are going, I might be wasting my breath. Oh well, I can't wait to see what happens next, whichever way it goes.
Well you're not wasting your breath here for a few of us (myself, Ragna, Mishie, ect)... But you gotta remember that people are pervs and want the so called 'guaranteed imminent sexual encounter' rather than actually go through the work to 'earn' one via making the proper choices.
DeleteA lot of people don't seem to realize that if this thing with Tsunami is indeed the Bad End like it looks to be, they very well may not even MAKE IT to the sex thing before getting busted and whatnot.
In these games, when you get a BAD END, there are no consolation sex scenes before to ease the pain. Bad ends tend to be horrible right from the get go of the decision and only get worse from there.
True. On all points. You don't get anything free, after all. My brain recoiled when this option reared it's head.
Delete"A h-scene? This early? In a VN?"
After all, it took -coughforevercough- to get those scenes in Fate/Stay lol. Anyway, good to see I'm not alone at least.
You're never wasting anything when you use your mind, my friend. The logical process is what makes for good stories and choices. :) But because I'm evil, I will redirect you to a game with an early Bad Ending which also contained a Sex scene. Tsukihime. :)
DeleteIrnoically enough, I JUST downloaded Tsukihime. Damn you Meinos, now I'm going to be paranoid as hell xD
Delete...I'll just say that I think the run to the flowers route is the trap and Meinos is being an evil genius by making the safe route look like the trap and the trap the safe route...
ReplyDeleteI probably just mind gamed myself into a bad end.
Who knows. Still two days of poll to go. :D
DeleteWith the way the Polls are going, what happens if Its a Tie.
ReplyDeleteIs it possible to extend to polls? Do a Coin toss? Surprise us and give us both results?
Hmmm, good question. I'll think about it and let you know... Once the poll closes. :D
DeleteIn all honesty, I would prefer the bad end. Considering the way this story, works, if we DON'T get the bad end, we'll never return to see it unless our author here sees fit to create it and post it separately, and I'm curious to see how it ends up. We need to get everything! 100%! 100%!
ReplyDeleteAh, do not worry. Everything will be written. When you'll be able to read it, though... Well, that's another pair of hands. :P
DeleteOh boy.... the perv voters won.. *cry*
ReplyDeleteI get the feeling this won't be the first, lol
Delete
